Service Description

Learn to perform a basic sewing project. We will quickly review how to thread and prepare your sewing machine for basic sewing. Then we focus on learning more specialty functions (reverse stitching, buttonholes, etc) and complete a very simple sewing project. Students will learn: -sewing kit & tool basics -how to create basic sewing seams -the importance of ironing and steaming to the sewing process -how to hand finish a simple hem and more Once students take this class they will be able to participate in Beginner classes and complete beginner projects with confidence and ease, using their personal sewing machine. Skill Level: New Beginner 1- Should know how to operate sewing machine, including threading the machine, winding the bobbin, and pushing the foot pedal. Our “Introduction to the Sewing Machine” Class is strongly recommended. Class Fee: Price includes all needed materials as well as use of sewing machine and related tools. Class Length: 90 mins Class is 1 session for 90mins. Sewing supplies, other than student's machine, power cord, and owners manual, are not required for this class. Everything needed to complete the lesson is provided during the class, though student is invited to bring a pencil and paper to take notes during the class.
