Setting Up Your Sewing Machine

Service Description

So you have just purchased a new machine or have received a machine that is "new to you" and you want to learn all the basic functions. Book this session to get experienced guidance learning about your personal home sewing machine. Class Details, What you will learn: Using your instruction manual we will help you learn to use a basic Home Sewing Machine. If you don't have the instruction manual we will use our general expertise to go over the different parts and names of the sewing machine, how to thread a sewing machine, how to wind a bobbin, how to choose stitches, and much more. We will even help you find online tutorials on how to use your specific machine. Students will even complete a simple paper sewing challenge. Once students take this class they will be prepared to participate in any of our other Beginner sewing classes using their own machine. Skill Level: New Beginner- assumes little or no previous experience with home sewing machine Class Fee: Price includes all needed materials as well as use of related tools. Student is encouraged to bring pen and paper to take notes. Class Length: Class is 1 session for 90 minutes. Student needs to bring their machine, plus power cord, and instruction manual if possible. Additional supplies are not required for this class. Everything, other than students machine, cord, and manual, needed to complete the lesson is provided during the class, though student is encouraged to bring a pencil and paper to take notes during the class.
